Something Funny Happened On Our Way To Heaven: The Keyboard

As servants of the South Feast, our lives are stress-filled, our schedules hectic, our patience stretched. This happens during the week when we prepare for our ministries and most especially on Sundays when the South Feast is held.
A blessing that keeps us sane is the gift of laughter. South Feast servants are happy people. And sometimes God throws in His own brand of humor.
One Sunday, the staff of our sound system supplier dropped the keyboard. They did not tell Belle, our Music Ministry head, what happened. Upon doing the sound check about an hour before the start, she discovered the keyboard was busted. Now, how will we sound without this instrument?
She asked Boni, Ushers head who lives nearby, if he had a keyboard. In her panic she did not go into details. He said he has one and rushed home to get it.
After a while, he was back. He called joyfully to Belle as he waved the package in his hand, “Sister, I have the keyboard!” . Belle wondered at the lightness and compactness of what he was holding. No wonder it was small – not knowing it was the organ we needed, he brought his computer keyboard.
The problem was not solved but God blessed us with a good performance sans the keyboard that day. And a good laugh when we heard the story behind the missing keyboard.

  2. Hi Bing,

Thank you too. It warms my heart that people are blessed by it.
We sing at the South Feast which is held in Cinema 10, Festival Mall, Alabang, every Sunday. There is an 11:00 am session and a 3:00 pm one. If you live in the south please do come. The talks by Arun Gogna are so inspiring. If you live elsewhere let me know as there are other Feasts that might be near you. God bless you.
